Neither of us had really been there in the summer before (rather winter for skating) and we found it quite pleasant with the ponds and canals where you can paddle around in a canoe or paddle-boat, walk on the paths down to the river and make use of the picnic areas. We also crossed the river to Beaumont Park, a more natural area with walking, biking & off-leash dog paths. We went down to Bowness Park last Sunday.
